Weekly Victory Message (Blog)

The Weekly Victory! by "the Evangelist"

Last Sunday, I preached a message called, "God is still working on you"!  I believe God made the trees, animals, mountains, oceans, and marine life because He wanted to.  I believe He made you, so He can "work" on you!   I preached from the following scriptures:

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

God took great care in creating the earth. We can see His attention to detail when we look at the greatest mountains and then compare it to the smallest grain of sand. We can look at the great oceans and compare it to the trickle of water in the smallest ditch. We can look at the tallest trees and compare it to the smallest blade of grass. But of all His creations and from all the greatest work of His hands, one of His greatest creations is you!

I can't wait to see what you're going to be after God gets through with you!   In other words, I believe every day is almost like a new creation day for you! You cannot change yesterday, but God is changing you so that you can have a better tomorrow!   In spite of your past deeds, God is still working on you!  Has He done this before?  Yes!  Here are just a few examples:

Adam was disobedient

Abraham lied

Samson was a party animal

Moses was a murderer

David was an adulterer

Jacob was a thief

Joseph was a crime victim and an inmate

Solomon became an idolater

But God kept working with them all until they became what He wanted them to be!  Think about this final scripture:

1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

God is still working on you!  Keep the faith!  Victory today is yours!

Monthly Prayer Theme

Frequently Asked Question

December 2018 Christmas Questions of the month

What does the Bible say about Jesus birth from a virgin in Bethlehem?

How do we know the Bible is true?  We look at the evidence.  We can have confidence in celebrting the Christmas season because we have evidence of the "virgin birth" and the location of Jesus birth.  Look at the following three verses:

Isaiah 7:14 King James Version (KJV) Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Micah 5:2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

More Christmas questions coming soon:  Stay tuned!
