Weekly Victory Message (Blog)

The Weekly Victory! by "the Evangelist"

A revival is a Christian service where the people seek a spiritual renewal and revitalization.  It is an event where the Spirit of God inspires all who attend the revival with new hope and increased faith.  It is a place where the collective prayers from the people of God are answered by God!  We need a Revival now!  Please pray and (if you're in the area) join us this weekend!

I believe the Lord God has instructed me to bring Pastor  / Reverend Darnell Golphin to Southeast Texas to help usher in a great Revival for our community!   When you hear Pastor Golphin , you will understand why!

Victory shall be ours!

Monthly Prayer Theme

During the month October we will pray for the Fall "Stop the Violence" Revival!   - Psalm 85:6 Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?

Frequently Asked Question(s)

October 22, 2018

What should I do if I have a friend that is going through a divorce?

Pray! A divorce is a serious matter and anyone considering divorce needs prayers from as many people as possible.

What should you pray for? First let’s remind ourselves what getting a divorce means.  A divorce often follows irreconcilable differences between a husband and a wife. A divorce is a legal way to dissolve a marriage contract and agreement.

However, a divorce is only one way to solve marriage problems, and it should not be the first consideration because of the significant amount of legal, spiritual, and emotional ramifications.  The Bible says,Matthew 19:6 So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.”

This tells us God is involved in a marriage and therefore His word should be involved in a decision to divorce and dissolve a marriage.  I often teach couples that a marriage is not a contract between two people; it is a covenant between three people, “a husband”, “a wife”, and the God the Father.

All three should be involved in the decision to divorce or reconcile.

If I had friends that were considering divorce, the first thing I would pray for is reconciliation. Reconciliation means restoring the relationship or achieving emotional harmony.  I would pray for the relationship to be restored and for everything that caused the divorce consideration to be resolved. In other words I would pray for the couple to “work it out”.

The next thing I would pray for is “wise counseling”. The Bible says in Proverbs 11:14 Where there is no counsel, the people fall; But in the multitude of counselors there is safety.”

The next thing I would pray for is for the couples to forgive each other.  The Bible says in Proverbs 11:14 Where there is no counsel, the people fall; But in the multitude of counselors there is safety.”

I would also pray for the following:

· All illegal activities (if present) to be exposed and resolved.

· All children to be protected.

· All addictions (if appropriate) to be broken.

· All financial matters to be resolved.

· All communications to be improved.

As you can see, the only thing I would not pray for is the divorce itself. In other words, it would be my desire for God to supernaturally save the marriage and give both the husband and wife a reason to stay together. I recommend you do the same.
