Weekly Victory Message (Blog)

The Weekly Victory! by "the Evangelist"

Congratulations to Brother Cleo "The Drummer" Marshall!

Cleo's book, "A Second Chance at Life" is published and is now available on Amazon.com.  The book is about his life and about how God rescued him from a terrible accident and attempted suicide.  Cleo also explains how he became a Church Drummer!  Please order this amazing book today and read about Cleo's amazing journey through life!  Simply go to Amazon.com and type "Cleo Marshall" in the search box.  Click enter and you will see the book!  The cost is only $10 plus shipping.

There is a place in the Bible that says, Habakkuk 2:2  Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it.

We are really proud of Cleo "The Drummer" because it takes a lot of courage to write a book and be transparent about who we are and the mistakes we have made.  Cleo wrote this book to hopefully encourage someone who had a difficult upbringing, and may be considering suicide.  Cleo has taken a major step forward!  What are you going to do to encourage someone else?  Start by ordering Cleo's book and reading it.  Then run and tell somebody else to do the same!

Be a blessing and you will be blessed.  Think about it..... Love, Pastor K

Monthly Prayer Theme

During the month February 2020 we will pray for homeless people to get a home, in Jesus name!

Frequently Asked Question

Question of the month: Why should we “Praise the Lord”?

When you attend a Christian Church service or a Bible Study, you may hear someone shout, “Praise the Lord”!

Praise means to commend, or to glorify, or to express admiration, and to pay homage; all as an act of worship. When you give someone an applause, or when you cheer for a team, or sing a song, or if you compliment a friend; you are giving them praise.

We give praise to people every day. We praise politicians, musicians, electricians, athletes, and actors all the time, and often more than we praise God. When you hear your favorite secular, singer sing one of their hit songs, and you decide to sing along, you’re giving that person “Praise”. (I am saying you should not listen to your favorite singer. I am just pointing out what you are really doing).  Giving people praise may be ok except for one problem. When you praise people, you may not get anything in return.

Why should we “Praise God”? When we praise God, we always get something from God! Look at the Book of Isaiah chapter 12:

Isaiah 12:1 And in that day thou shalt say, O Lord, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me. 2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. 3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. 4 And in that day shall ye say, Praise the Lord, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted. 5 Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth. 6 Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.

Wow! When we give God praise many things happen including but not limited to the following:

1. God’s anger is turned into comfort.

2. We can trust Him and not be afraid.

3. The Lord is our strength, our song, and our salvation.

4. We can draw from the well of salvation!

5. God is in the midst of our praise!

Set a goal in 2020 to give God praise every day. Also set a goal to Praise the Lord every Sunday morning in a Bible based Church (like ours)!

Let everything that has breath, Praise the Lord! – Psalm 150:6

The Bible Blessing for the week

Old Testament

Isaiah 44:8  Do not fear, nor be afraid; Have I not told you from that time, and declared it?
You are My witnesses.
Is there a God besides Me?
Indeed there is no other Rock;
I know not one.

New Testament

Luke 12:22  Then He said to His disciples, “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on.  23 Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.
