Hello Victorious family!
Last Sunday I preached from Isaiah 64:6 But we are all like an unclean thing, And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags; We all fade as a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, Have taken us away. 7 And there is no one who calls on Your name, Who stirs himself up to take hold of You; For You have hidden Your face from us, And have consumed us because of our iniquities. 8 But now, O Lord, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter; And all we are the work of Your hand.
The title of the message was, "God is not through making you"! When God made you in your mother's womb, that was just the beginning of His creative work in you. He is still working on you daily, (when you allow Him to). You must allow the Master Designer to continue to shape you, mold you, and pull off the bad pieces just like a pottery maker does with the clay on the spinning pottery wheel. You must read your owners manual (the Bible), and you must do your routine maintenance (attend Church, pray, fast, and give), in order for God to make you into the person He wants you to be. God is not through making you!
Please continue to pray for the Church restoration project. During the past 6 days we have had two young men work on tearing out the old sheetrock. It's a small project but it helps us make a big step in the right direction.
Please pray for our Fall Revival that I call the "Stop the Street Violence Revival"! The proposed dates are September 14 - 16, 2018. Planning is underway but we need your support and prayers!
Victory today is yours! Sincerely, Pastor K!
During the month of August we will pray for the reduction and elimination of street violence in South East Texas!
Psalm 11:5 The Lord tests the righteous, But the wicked and the one who loves violence His soul hates.
Question of the week: August 14, 2018
Question of the week – August 14, 2018
How long did Adam live? Hold old was he?
Answer: 930 years old.
The Book of Genesis chapter 5 verses 1 – 5 says, “This is the book of the genealogy of Adam. In the day that God created man, He made him in the likeness of God. 2 He created them male and female, and blessed them and called them Mankind in the day they were created. 3 And Adam lived one hundred and thirty years, and begot a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth. 4 After he begot Seth, the days of Adam were eight hundred years; and he had sons and daughters. 5 So all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years; and he died.”
There is a lot of research and speculation about how Adam was able to live so long. The Bible tells us God created Adam (and us) in His image, and He intended for Adam (and us) to manage and rule over all wildlife and sea life on the earth.
The Book of Genesis chapter 5 verses 26 – 28 says, “Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
As you can see, God also intended for Adam and Eve to be “fruitful and multiply” and “fill the earth” with people. If men and women only lived 120 years or so, it was take a long time to produce the estimated 7.62 billion people we have living on the earth today! Great question!
Be victorious today!
Proverbs 10:2 (NKJV) Treasures of wickedness profit nothing, But righteousness delivers from death.
Luke 16:10 (NKJV) He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much. 11 Therefore if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? 12 And if you have not been faithful in what is another man’s, who will give you what is your own?
