Last Sunday I preached a message called "Follow the Leader". To prepare for the message I used John 10:
John 10 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. 2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. 4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. 5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.
When I was a child I played a game called "follow the leader". In order to win the game you have to do exactly what the leader does, and you have to go exactly where the leader goes. If you do this you will go where the leader goes, and get whatever the leader gets.
What if we choose Jesus as our leader to follow? If we do, then we will do the things Jesus did, and we will get the rewards the Jesus received! This includes an abundant life and eternal life! We will get to see people healed and miracles performed. This is good news!
Choose to follow Jesus today! He will never lead you astray!
Victory today is yours!
During the month April 2019 we will pray for students to stay in School!
April 2019 Question of the month!
Why we can't just watch Church on TV?
Answer: You can watch Church on television, but not as a substitute for actual Church attendance.
There are a few rare cases when it is not possible to attend Church in person, such as a major illness, or prison incarceration. In these cases, televised Bible based Church services are essential.
You must also let the Church know your situation and ask for prayers so that you can be delivered and set free so that you can join a live Church fellowship.
But you're probably wondering, "Why do I have to get up early on a Sunday morning, get dressed up, and go all the way to a Church building? Especially when I can just tune in and catch it on TV?" Here are a few reasons:
1. The Bible says we should get together. Hebrews 10:25 tells us we should not "forsake assembling ourselves together...". We can build each other up when we worship together.
2. We can make each other better when we get together. Proverbs 27:17 says "Iron sharpened iron; so a man sharpened the countenance of his friend.".
3. Television is edited and censored. The producers and studio owners can dictate what is shown on television. This means the more sensitive moral issues will not be shown on TV. However, a "live" Bible based worship service will give you the truth, un-cut and un-censored. If it need is to be said, it will be! Plus, the truth will set you free!
4. The Bible says in Matthew 18:20 “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”. This means when we get together in a Church service the presence of the spirit of Christ is promised to be there with us!
5. When we get together, we “stir up” each other’s gifts! The Bible says in Hebrews 10:24 “And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:”
So, if you are not able to attend a live Church service because you are sick or in prison, then contact the Church and ask them to pray for your healing and your release. If you are able to attend a Bible based Church, give it a try. Just think about how it may please God when you decide to worship with His other Children! I am sure He will bless you for your faithfulness!
Victory today is yours!
Jeremiah 29:11 King James Version (KJV) For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
2 Timothy 2:15 King James Version (KJV) Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
