Kelvin's passions and hobbies include drawing, walking, speaking, and coaching young men and boys.

Evangelist Ellen Solco is a spirited preacher, an excellent teacher, and a gifted singer. She is a loving mother and grandmother to not only her immediate family, but to many others as well. She is the host of the VCC Women's Friday Night Gospel Service which empowers women to use their ministry gifts as well as support the gifts of others. Evangelist Solco was born in Augusta, Georgia, and she is a retired distinguished teacher in the Port Arthur Independent School District. Evangelist Ellen holds a bachelors degree from Lamar University. Evangelist Solco is also a gifted artist that specializes in painting outdoor landscape themes. Evangelist Solco has many other gifts and talents including making beautiful custom costume jewelry.

Greetings, Victory family and friends!
I am thrilled to share that Victory Christian Church of Port Arthur has some exciting things happening! We’ve recently completed our podcast studio, which will serve as a powerful platform for sharing God’s word and uplifting messages far and wide. Additionally, our gym and wellness center is nearly finished, bringing us one step closer to promoting both physical and spiritual health within our community.
I want to take a moment to thank each of you—members and visitors alike—for your incredible participation in all our events throughout September and October 2024. As we look ahead, we are gearing up for our highly anticipated Fall Festival & Flea Market 2024! Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 11 AM. This event promises to be a day filled with fun, food, fellowship, live music, and more! We’re calling on volunteers and vendors to help make this festival a huge success. If you’re available to assist or would like to rent a vendor table, please sign up as soon as possible. Together, let’s spread the word and give our community a reason to come together and celebrate the blessings of this Fall season.

Who in the Old Testament is known for their perseverance through immense suffering, yet remained faithful to God?
Answer: Job is the key figure known for his perseverance. Despite losing his wealth, family, and health, Job remained faithful to God. His story, found in the Book of Job, is a powerful example of enduring suffering while trusting in God's plan. In the end, Job was blessed even more for his steadfastness and faith.
Which apostle encourages believers to persevere through trials and promises that enduring faith will lead to receiving the "crown of life"?
Answer: James is the apostle who wrote about perseverance in his letter, particularly in James 1:12 (NKJV), which says, "Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him." James teaches that enduring trials strengthens our faith and brings God's blessings.

"Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country."
Synopsis: This verse from Deuteronomy reminds us that God’s blessings follow us wherever we go—whether in busy cities or peaceful countryside. It speaks to the promise of divine favor in every aspect of life, as long as we remain faithful and obedient to His word. No matter where we find ourselves, God’s love and provision are constant, ensuring we are blessed in every environment and circumstance.
New Testament - Ephesians 1:3 (NKJV)
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ."
Synopsis: In this verse, Paul celebrates the abundance of spiritual blessings that come through Christ. These blessings are not just material, but deeply rooted in the heavenly realms, signifying the eternal rewards and grace we receive by being in Christ. It’s a reminder that as believers, we are already richly blessed with everything we need to live a life filled with purpose, faith, and peace.

A special reminder to everyone—please remember to bring nonperishable food items to the church for the Deacons' food pantry. This important ministry supports those in need within our community, and your generosity makes a significant difference.
We’re also looking for volunteers to be part of our Breakfast Cook team. If you enjoy cooking and serving, this is a wonderful way to bless others with a hearty meal as we gather together. Additionally, don’t forget to join us for our monthly Door-to-Door Evangelism! This is a powerful way to spread the gospel and connect with our neighbors, sharing God’s message of hope and salvation.
Please keep Mother Florence Dickey and Michael Lloyd’s mother in your prayers, as they continue to need our support and intercession. As a church family, we lift them up to the Lord for healing and comfort.
Exciting news is on the horizon with the opening of our Victory Wellness Center and Gym! Soon, we will have a new space to focus on our physical and spiritual well-being. Get ready to work out and take advantage of this wonderful resource for both the body and soul!
Let’s also give thanks for the growing connection we’re building with Christ’s Kingdom Builders Church in Lusaka, Zambia, under the leadership of Bishop Howard Ngwira. We ask for your continued prayers for their October Convocation and Conference, as well as their ongoing church growth and impact.

Victory Christian Church Will Open the Victory Wellness Center and Gym Soon!
We are thrilled to announce that the Victory Wellness Center and Gym is nearing completion! Construction is progressing beautifully, and we are excited to offer this new facility to our church members and community in the coming weeks. This wellness center is a part of our mission to minister to the mind, body, and soul of everyone we can, and we believe it will be a valuable resource for promoting health and wellness.
At Victory Christian Church, we recognize that true wellness encompasses all aspects of life. Our goal is to create a space where our community can come together to improve their physical fitness while also nurturing their spiritual well-being. The facility will offer a variety of equipment to support your fitness journey, including stationary bikes and other essential exercise machines.
We are almost fully equipped, but there’s just one item left to complete the gym—a treadmill! If anyone feels led to donate a treadmill, it would help us bring this vision to life and complete our fitness offerings.
Stay tuned for the grand opening date, and we look forward to seeing you in the Victory Wellness Center, where we can grow stronger in faith and fitness together!
